Descripción:: O presente artigo apresenta os dados mais relevantes sobre a Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras(AMAN), no período compreendido entre sua instalação, na cidade de Resende, até os dias atuais,perfazendo uma análise historiográfica dos setenta e cinco anos que se passaram. Para concretizareste estudo foi realizada uma pesquisa sobre a construção da Escola Militar de Resende; a alteraçãode sua denominação para Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras e de suas atividades; e a AMAN doséculo XXI. De acordo com a análise das fontes obtidas, constata-se que, desde seu surgimento, elapassou por um processo de contínua evolução, de modo a atender aos anseios da conjuntura mundiale estar em constante aprimoramento técnico-profissional.; This article presents the most relevant data about the Agulhas Negras Military Academy (AMAN),from its installation in the city of Resende, to the present day, making a historiographical analysis ofthe seventy-five years that have passed. To carry out this study a research was carried out on theconstruction of the Military School of Resende; changing its name to the Black Needles MilitaryAcademy and its activities; and 21st century AMAN. According to the analysis of the sourcesobtained, it can be seen that, since its inception, it has undergone a process of continuous evolution,in order to meet the wishes of the world conjuncture and to be in constant technical and professionalimprovement.
