Descripción:: Este artigo visa analisar os índices obtidos na prova de 400 metros rasos por uma geração de militares(4.429 indivíduos, saudáveis, com idade 20 a 23 anos) que compuseram o segundo ano do Curso deFormação de Oficiais da Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras (AMAN) de 2009 a 2018, verificandoestatisticamente as notas obtidas durante o teste físico. Para realizar esta análise foi utilizado osoftware BioEstat 5.0 e os dados foram coletados na Seção de Educação Física da AMAN. Osresultados do teste Kolmogorov – Smirnof apontaram que as notas de nenhuma das turmas respeitarama uma normalidade estatística. O teste de Mann-Whitney indicou que não houve diferençassignificativas entre as notas das turmas de 2009 e 2010; 2010 e 2011; 2011 e 2012; 2012 e 2013; 2013e 2014; 2014 e 2015; 2016 e 2017. O mesmo teste indicou que há diferenças significativas entre asnotas das turmas de 2015 e 2016 e entre a turma de 2017 e 2018. Houve uma diminuição significativade 2015 para 2016 e um aumento considerável da média em 2018 em relaç; This paper aims to analyze the indices obtained in the 400 meters test for a military generation (4429individuals, healthy, aged 20 a 23 years) who composed the second year of Official Graduation atAcademia Militar das Agulhas Negras (AMAN) from 2009 to 2018, verificating statically the gradesobtained during the physical exam. To realize this analyze was utilized the software BioEstat 5.0 andthe datas were collected on Physical Education Section from AMAN. The results of Kolmogorov –Smirnof test showed that the no one classes' grade respected a statistic normality. Mann- Whitneytest indicated that it was not significant diference beteween the grades of the classes 2009 and 2010;2010 and; 2011and 2012; 2012 and 2013; 2013 and 2014; 2014 and 2015; 2016 and 2017. The sametest indicated that was a significant difference between the grades f the clases2015 and 2016, andbetween the class of 2017 and 2018. Existing respectively a significant decrease from 2015 to 2016and a significant average increase in 2018 in relation to 2017.
