Descripción:: Este trabalho objetiva investigar as relações entre música e matemática para serem usadas com fins didáticos e auxiliar no ensino/aprendizagem dessas duas áreas do saber através de uma abordagem interdisciplinar com ênfase na educação musical e utilizando a matemática como suporte para compreensão de estruturas musicais. O propósito dessa pesquisa foi verificar como as relações matemáticas podem auxiliar a compreensão das estruturas musicais e como essa abordagem pode auxiliar educadores musicais no ensino desses conteúdos em sala de aula. Além disso, as propostas apresentadas nesse trabalho podem ser utilizadas por educadores musicais como inspiração para improvisações em sala de aula, a partir da busca de novas sonoridades e também como entendimento elementar para análises de composições pós-tonais.; This research aims to investigate about the relationships between music and mathematics to be used with didactic purposes and to assist in the teaching / learning process of these two areas of learning through an interdisciplinary approach with an emphasis on music education, using mathematics to support the understanding of musical structures. The purpose of the study was to verify how the mathematical relationships can help understanding musical structures and how this approach can help music educators in teaching these contents in the classroom. In addition, the proposals presented in this study can be used by music educators as an inspiration for improvising in the classroom, with the search of new sonorities, as well as the fundamentals to analyze post-tonal compositions.
